About Philip

Accounts Manager • Technical Support • Baker & Maker

Philip is the hidden glue that holds Harlequin Arts together. He provides many of the practical background parts to the business that most people don’t see.

He sorts out the tedious accounts & finance, deals with strange requests like “How do I change the pixel size of this photograph?”, “Can you make 12 peg looms by next week” or “Help! I need this sewing machine/ hairdryer/ batik pot PAT testing by tomorrow!”

If you’ve seen Harlequin Arts at shows or conferences, you have likely encountered Philip setting up the exhibition stand he designed & made or standing in as me, when I’m leading workshops.

However, he is happiest outdoors when he’s climbing hills, whether that be cycling or walking, or inside, in the kitchen baking bread (making the most amazing croissants, cinnamon buns and gingerbread muffins!)

Otherwise, you can find him in the garage at his lathe, making something with wood, or at his newly acquired allotment complete with shed and deckchair to ponder life’s wonders and trials.
